by Emily Loftiss February 27, 2012

Nothing makes me happier than Award Show season. I don't watch to see who won what...I watch to see who WORE what! Last night didn't disappoint with all the celebs wearing fabulous designer clothes/jewelry and all equipped with a glam squad the size of Texas. I'm here to show you how you can find 'Oscars Looks for Less' and look just as stunning as our favorite actresses! Let's get started:

I LOVE this vintage look on Michelle. I just want to pop her on top of a cupcake and just stare at her for hours. Vintage is soooo in and it is a great way to grab designer pieces for less. Don't be intimated with vintage stores- just get in there!!!!  $265

This color is incredible!!!!!! It would look stunning on any skin color. This just screams SPRING!

You can't go wrong with Old Hollywood Glamour. This dress I found really captures the essence of Milla's dress. $84

Our Curl Crush

by Remington Ready February 20, 2012

Curl Crush

Who isn't after those luscious curls seen on stars and in magazines all the time? While practice makes perfect with killer curls, one thing that helps is a curling wand! For those of you that aren't familiar with the tool, a curling wand is a clipless curling iron. One of the favorites among the Remington Team and our fans is the TStudio Pearl Ceramic Styling Wand. The beauty of this tool is that its cone design can create a variety of curls without the annoying clap mark that some curling irons leave, giving you with a more natural look. It also has crushed pearl infused barrel, leaving hair shinier and smoother. Trends and styles come and go, but smooth and silky hair is always in style!

Here's our secret to creating crush worthy beachy curls with the Pearl Styling Wand:

What you will need: protective spray/argan oil, duckbill clip, Remington TStudio Pearl Ceramic Styling Wand, light holding hairspray.

1. Apply protective spray or argan oil to the ends of your hair.

2. Part your hair from ear to ear and pin up the top portion of your hair with a duckbill clip. You will start curling at the bottom and work your way up. If you have very thick hair, you may want to portion off smaller sections.

3. Put the included heat protective glove on your free hand.

4. Point the tip of the wand towards the ground. Starting at the barrel's base and working towards the tip, wrap sections of hair away from your face. Tight curls = thinner sections, loose curls = thicker sections.

5. Once the bottom portion is done, make another part through hair from upper temple to upper temple, pin up the top portion with the duckbill clip and curl. Once the middle section is curled, unpin the top section of hair and curl*.

6. Once your hair has cooled, soften the curls by gently breaking them apart with your fingers. To finish - add hairspray!

*Insider tip: for va-va-volume, back comb the last section of your hair before curling it.

V-Day the Single Way

by Keltie Colleen February 13, 2012

Warning: Baby with bow and arrow

Oh hey Valentine's Day, you snuck up on my there...I didn't see you coming for me. I was busy feeling sorry for myself after being alone for Christmas. I was spending all my free time looking at my instagram feed of photos of me kissing my wine glass, the wall and the air on New Years Eve. Le sigh.

I have always wondered why the universe decided to place three holidays so close together. I wondered this the most when I was single. For those of you who know me, you have followed my recovery from a bad case of a broken-heart over on my blog. For those of you who have no idea who I am, I will give you a quick re-cap. I fell in love three times, got dumped three times, a sat alone for three years crying, then I wrote a book about it called Rockettes, Rockstars and Rockbottom. Shortly after that, I became the poster child for everything not to do after a break-up.

After I got all of that heartbreak out of my system, a very magical thing happened. I met “the one." There he was, all 6" 5' of him, standing in front of me, willing to love me till the end of the Earth. This Christmas we got engaged, and on New Years Eve we smooched under the moon in Thailand. Oh crap, I am not helping, am I? This was supposed to be a blog about how to deal with being alone on Valentine's Day. You hate me already.

I guess my point is that, sure, being alone lands at the same level of suckery as say a Brazilian bikini wax and weighing yourself, but it isn't permanent. This too shall pass. If you are cool enough to end up on this blog, then I have a good feeling that you are cool enough to land a major babe, forever lover.
